The foundation for this work in our family has been laid one hundred years ago by Dr. Helen’s great grandparents who were Pastors of Payne Chapel AME Church located in Cordesville, SC. Pastor Isaac Wesley Green performed the marriage ceremony for his son Wesley Green and Eva Morant in 1924, who are the grandparents of Dr. Helen. The original church was built by hand by many of the members of the church. The church has since been replaced with the new Payne Chapel that is still standing. This ministry has laid the foundation for the work that we see today.
